Wonderful hosts and about a two k walk to city. Huge rooms with free Wifi. Bathrooms looking a bit tired and could do with a good scrub. Very quiet location and within pick up area for attractions. Within walking distance of supermarkets etc.

Peaceful…relaxed…a nice getaway for my girlfriend and I.

Stayed for two nights in a studio with spa. Room was extremely clean with everything we needed. Bed was comfy and balcony was quaint. The best part about this hotel was that it was extremely quiet, which made for a great night sleep.
There was no air con however just a floor heater which was sufficient.

I was honestly blown away by how clean and tidy everything was. I truly felt like I was the first person to have stayed there which is what all hotels should strive for. Check in was a breeze. Staff were friendly. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Definetly recommend this place. Great value for money.

We discovered this one online and after reading Trip Advisor reviews. This place is a little gem. Definitely one that we will be coming back to for our future stays. Owners are friendly and accommodating. It is at the end of town though if you have a vehicle it is only minutes from everywhere. You can walk to town if you chose to do that and all the supermarkets are close by. Directly across the road is a rose garden and park for the little ones (and big ones). Next door you will find an indoor bowling and entertainment centre. There is also a take away store not far away. Recommend visiting Redwoods which is about 5 mins drive away and also the lakes that are part of Lake Tarawera. We stayed in room 103. This unit had a little kitchenette. Cooking utensils provided as is dish washing liquid. You will need oil, salt and things like that. Bathroom in this room had a very relaxing spa bath. The unit is very spacious and comfortable with some tasteful decor. The wifi is very fast and reliable and the television has many channels to chose from. Nice little deck area with timber table and chairs to relax on with a cuppa after being out exploring the local sights. A nice touch was the different decorative lights at night. Our little one loved this! The area is quiet and seems relatively safe to walk around. As I mentioned, we will definitely be staying at this place again. Thank you for a pleasant, relaxing stay.

Rented the upstairs studio with a spa bath. Very nice spacious and clean room. Worth it for the price. Spa bath was perfect. Nice kitchenette . Huge lounge. Comfy bed. Staff were very friendly. Free wifi and very fast. Located in a great place. Highly recommend this place.

Simply one the best places to stay.

Owners were very welcoming and warm, organised and professional, We had unfortunate circumstances during our schedules stay and they were very accommodating - Made our stay much more relaxing and comfortable.

Our room was very spacious and clean with a kitchenette and queen bed in the main room, two twin beds in another room, room was homely and warm as soon as we entered. Very Clean Very Comfortable and Superb Service. We will definitely be back thank you for the outstanding hospitality and service team :) Keep up the great work.

The New Castle Motor Lodge is a great value stay. Our room was very spacious and clean with a queen bed in the main room, two twin beds in another room, and a kitchenette. The room included two space heaters and a heated bed blanket which made for a warm winter stay.
