Liked that it was just off the main road. Lovely owners and great service if needed. Can’t really fault the place if your just after somewhere to stay and don’t need all the fancy stuff to go with is. You do have a spa bath in your room. But there is no other facility’s. Like I said though if your not wanting anything more then this is a great little place to stay. Oh and loved the pretty lights that light the whole place up.

Went out of their way to accommodate us which was appreciated!would definitely book here again. Very helpful & Friendly staff. Good location. Lovely rooms.

Lovely owners of property , very friendly and helpful. Wonderful service of room every day. Spa bath was great and very spacious. Room was well sized , great having free internet. Room lovely and clean. We loved it here and even spent an extra night!! Have rebooked for labour weekend also.

This place had great value for money. A spa bath in room, a very spacious room, with a little balcony. I love doing yoga in the morning, and had plenty of room to lay out my mat far away from the bed. Had a little kitchen area as well. Could not fault anything with our stay there.

Room was very clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable and large and there generous amounts of soap and shower gel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. No complaints whatsoever.

This place is absolutely brilliant. You just can’t beat it especially for the great price. The whole place is spotlessly clean and the rooms are large with comfy beds. Nice spa bath and good shower. The management are so friendly and nice. Our favourite place in 2 months of travelling nz!

We stayed a couple of nights at the New Castle Motor Lodge. An up to date, well equipped and roomy accommodation in a quiet location (away from the main road). We found management very helpful. Our hot water jug did not work and there was no problem to get a replacement. We enjoyed the space with a double as well as a single bed (in different rooms). But best of all was the paid continental breakfast provided. Additional to the usual trimmings, there were two pieces of fresh fruit, a piece of cake and a muesli bar and a fruit juice, which we all took away for our lunch. The Lodge is probably more suited to cook for yourself, as there are not many restaurants close by (around 2 km) from the main eating area in Rotorua, but there are options within walking distance, one of them a very reasonably priced restaurant just adjacent to the Lodge (as long as you eat before 6 p.m.

Nice staff. Impressed by text message requesting estimated arrival time. Room layout was large and catered for a family of 5 easily. Lovely bathroom and spa bath. Toasty warm room and easily accessible to main shopping centre. Would happily recommend
